This initiative aims to create accessible pathways for local LGBTQI+ youth into regular sports activities and foster a sense of belonging within the local sports community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aligned with ENGSO Youth\u2019s recent <strong>\u201cParticipation of LGBTQI+ Youth in Sport Governance\u201d<\/strong> position paper, these sessions will highlight inclusivity and community building in sport. The event will begin with a presentation by <strong>Alessia De Lulis<\/strong>, ENGSO Youth Committee member and project manager, who will introduce ENGSO Youth\u2019s work in advancing LGBTQI+ inclusion. <strong>Sarah Townsend<\/strong>, Equality Commission member and former co-president of the European Gay &amp; Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF), will also speak on EGLSF&rsquo;s advocacy and its flagship event, the EuroGames multisport tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supported by ENGSO and EGLSF, this series targets LGBTQI+ youth aged 18\u201325, building on the EGLSF strategy to expand youth participation at EuroGames. The overarching aim is to form inclusive sports teams that will participate in <strong>EuroGames 2025 in Lyon<\/strong>, held from July 23\u201326, further enhancing visibility and representation of LGBTQI+ youth in sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training series includes <strong>40-minute introductory sessions<\/strong> across various sports, including volleyball, football, athletics, table tennis, and p\u00e9tanque. The goal is to create welcoming opportunities for LGBTQI+ youth who may have experienced exclusion, whether due to personal or structural barriers, or those who are distanced from sports for other reasons. This initiative also focuses on supporting migrant LGBTQI+ youth, providing them a safe space to connect, foster friendships, and engage in regular physical activity, benefiting both their physical and mental well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00ab\u00a0MARS\u2019s mission is to foster an inclusive and supportive sports environment where everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, origin, or migratory status, can participate freely and without discrimination. This initiative marks an essential step toward that goal,\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> said Damien B., President of MARS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is organized in collaboration with key Marseille-based organizations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Le Refuge<\/strong>, supporting LGBTQI+ youth in precarious situations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Refuge Migrant\u00b7es LGBT+ (RML)<\/strong>, which advocates for LGBTQI+ migrants,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and <strong>AIDES<\/strong>, an association that combats HIV, viral hepatitis, and associated discrimination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, these partnerships enhance the program\u2019s outreach and impact, creating a supportive network that prioritizes the well-being and empowerment of LGBTQI+ youth in Marseille through the power of sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Open Sport Jeunes \u2013 Opportunit\u00e9s Sportives pour la Jeunesse LGBTQI+<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le samedi 16 novembre 2024, Marseille Rainbow Sports (MARS) lancera la premi\u00e8re d&rsquo;une s\u00e9rie de s\u00e9ances d\u00e9couvertes destin\u00e9es \u00e0 initier les jeunes LGBTQI+ \u00e0 divers sports. Cette initiative vise \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des passerelles accessibles pour les jeunes LGBTQI+ locaux vers des activit\u00e9s sportives r\u00e9guli\u00e8res et \u00e0 renforcer leur sentiment d&rsquo;appartenance au sein de la communaut\u00e9 sportive locale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ligne avec le r\u00e9cent rapport de position de l\u2019ENGSO Youth intitul\u00e9 \u00ab Participation des jeunes LGBTQI+ dans la gouvernance sportive \u00bb, ces sessions mettront en avant l\u2019inclusivit\u00e9 et la coh\u00e9sion communautaire dans le sport. L&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nement commencera par une pr\u00e9sentation d&rsquo;Alessia De Lulis, membre du Comit\u00e9 de l\u2019ENGSO Youth et cheffe de projet, qui introduira le travail de l\u2019ENGSO Youth pour promouvoir l&rsquo;inclusion des jeunes LGBTQI+. Sarah Townsend, membre de la Commission de l&rsquo;\u00e9galit\u00e9 et ancienne copr\u00e9sidente de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration europ\u00e9enne de sport gay et lesbien (EGLSF), prendra \u00e9galement la parole pour \u00e9voquer l\u2019engagement de l\u2019EGLSF et son \u00e9v\u00e9nement phare, le tournoi multisport des EuroGames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soutenue par l\u2019ENGSO et l\u2019EGLSF, cette s\u00e9rie vise les jeunes LGBTQI+ \u00e2g\u00e9s de 18 \u00e0 25 ans, en s&rsquo;appuyant sur la strat\u00e9gie de l\u2019EGLSF d&rsquo;accro\u00eetre la participation des jeunes aux EuroGames. L\u2019objectif global est de former des \u00e9quipes sportives inclusives qui participeront aux EuroGames 2025 \u00e0 Lyon, qui se tiendront du 23 au 26 juillet, renfor\u00e7ant ainsi la visibilit\u00e9 et la repr\u00e9sentation des jeunes LGBTQI+ dans le sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La s\u00e9rie de formations comprend des sessions d\u2019introduction de 40 minutes dans divers sports, notamment le volley-ball, le football, l\u2019athl\u00e9tisme, le tennis de table et la p\u00e9tanque. L\u2019objectif est de cr\u00e9er des opportunit\u00e9s accueillantes pour les jeunes LGBTQI+ qui ont pu ressentir une exclusion, en raison de barri\u00e8res personnelles ou structurelles, ou pour ceux qui sont \u00e9loign\u00e9s du sport pour d\u2019autres raisons. Cette initiative se concentre \u00e9galement sur le soutien aux jeunes LGBTQI+ migrants, leur offrant un espace s\u00fbr pour se connecter, nouer des amiti\u00e9s et s&rsquo;engager dans une activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour leur bien-\u00eatre physique et mental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab La mission de MARS est de promouvoir un environnement sportif inclusif et bienveillant o\u00f9 chacun, quel que soit son orientation sexuelle, son identit\u00e9 de genre, son origine ou son statut migratoire, peut participer librement et sans discrimination.
